Catherine Blewett is an accomplished public administrator with extensive experience in the Canadian government and economic development. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at the Arctic Economic Development Corporation since June 2025, Blewett previously held the role of Secretary at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat from February to June 2024, and Deputy Minister of Economic Development at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada from June 2022 to February 2024. Additional notable positions include Chief Strategic Engagement Officer at the Ocean Frontier Institute, Deputy Clerk to the Privy Council and Associate Secretary to Cabinet with the Government of Canada, and Deputy Minister roles in various sectors within the Nova Scotia government. Blewett holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Dalhousie University.
